About Our Client:
Our client, a property management and real estate development firm, manages a portfolio of 30 properties including commercial spaces, student housing, and residential apartments/condos. They are seeking an AP Associate to join their team as they continue to expand their operations.
Job Description:
The AP Associate will manage the full accounts payable process, handling non-utility invoices and utility payments for all properties. This role involves maintaining an organized electronic filing system, processing vendor payments, and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and completeness of payables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the processing utility invoices each week.
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, from receiving and coding invoices to completing payments.
- Process utility invoices in collaboration with the staff accountant.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry, approval, and payment of all invoices.
- Maintain an organized electronic filing system, attaching PDF invoices to relevant records.
- Complete online vendor payments and accurately record all transactions.
- Occasionally perform bank and post office runs as needed.
- Regularly report any issues or discrepancies to the Controller or accounting team.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience required.
- Experience with online invoice payments is essential.
- Proficiency with general ledger systems and Excel is necessary.
