We're hiring an IT Project Manager for a position based in Austin, TX.
Position: IT Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid
Compensation: $65.00-75.00 / Per Hour
Employment Type: 12-month contract with potential extension
Schedule: 2x per week remote, onsite 3x per week

Job Description:
- Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of a major data migration workstream.
- Manage scope, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and project dependencies.
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reporting, and executive communications.
- Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party implementation partners.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and acceptance criteria.
Data Migration & Conversion
- Coordinate data mapping, transformation, validation, and migration activities.
- Lead data quality reviews and facilitate stakeholder approvals.
- Manage mock conversion cycles, testing efforts, and migration readiness activities.
- Oversee cutover planning, rollback procedures, and migration execution.
- Drive issue resolution and ensure alignment between business and technical teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain project risk and issue logs and execute mitigation strategies.
- Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing processes.
- Ensure data handling and migration activities comply with organizational security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience supporting complex enterprise software implementations.
- Experience leading data migration, data conversion, or system modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, project lifecycle management, and governance practices.
- Experience managing vendors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions in evolving and ambiguous environments.
- PMP certification.
- Experience supporting ERP, CRM, HRIS, Finance, or other enterprise platform implementations.
- Experience with Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with database concepts, data structures, system integrations, and cloud-based enterprise applications.
