Position Title: IT Technology Specialist
Remote/Onsite: 100% onsite (5 days/week) – Garfield Park
Bill Rate / Salary: Max pay rate: $25hr (entry-level)
Employment Type: 6 week Contract
Required Tech / Skills:
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair (laptops, Chromebooks, devices)
- Device provisioning, deployment, and decommissioning
- Inventory and asset management systems (Asset Tiger or similar)
- Google Workspace (basic administration/support)
- Microsoft Office / Windows support
- Vendor coordination (printers, telecom, etc.)
Preferred Tech / Skills:
- Google Workspace administration experience
- Chrome OS and Windows device support
- Adobe tools and licensing exposure
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Perform hardware repairs, redeployment, and decommissioning
- Intake, provision, and track IT devices and software licenses
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset records
- Coordinate vendor servicing for printers, telecom, and network equipment
- Assist with Google Workspace administration (user/device changes)
- Travel to schools to collect devices and coordinate repairs
- Ensure all devices are organized and ready for the school year
Experience Requirements:
- 1+ years of IT support / help desk / desktop support experience
- Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting
- Experience in mid-to-large environments preferred
Job Description:
IT Technology Specialist
● Oversee and perform end-user hardware equipment repairs and redeployment or decommissioning activities as needed.
● Perform intake, provisioning, and inventory management of their owned hardware equipment and general business application software and related licenses (e.g., Google chromebook licenses, MS Office, Acrobat, etc.).
● Manage, troubleshoot and coordinate vendor servicing for network telecommunications, network copier/printers and related solutions.
● Maintain accurate records of in-service, repair, broken and decommissioned assets in asset management systems and software systems (e.g., Google Workspace & Asset Tiger, Microsoft, Adobe, etc.); work with campuses to maintain campus inventory records.
● Back-up to G-suite administrator for end-user and device additions/deletions/changes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Previous 3+ years experience as a help desk technician, computer technician, or IT support in a medium or large organization.
● Evidence of hands-on installation/maintenance of end-user device hardware, and software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Strong working knowledge of Google Suite administration and Microsoft applications. Including Google Chrome and Windows Device hardware support.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/TRAVEL
● Able to lift, move and carry up to 30 pounds for short distances.
● Primarily reside at Central Office - Limited travel to remote sites
