Overview: Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to support a variety of infrastructure, cloud, networking, and systems implementation projects for business clients throughout the Oklahoma City metro area. This role is ideal for a well-rounded IT professional who enjoys working on different technologies, solving complex problems, and interacting directly with customers. The Project Engineer will be responsible for implementing servers, networks, cloud solutions, workstation deployments, and customer onboarding projects while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise, project execution, and client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and support servers, cloud technologies, networks, workstations, and related infrastructure solutions. Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune technologies. Deploy and support network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and related equipment. Perform customer onboarding activities, cloud migrations, email migrations, and infrastructure upgrades. Install and manage Hyper-V and VMware virtualization environments. Travel to customer sites throughout the Oklahoma City metro area to perform project implementations and support activities. Maintain project documentation, time entries, and customer communications throughout project lifecycles. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Assist service desk teams with escalations and complex technical issues when needed. Participate in occasional after-hours support for critical customer issues as part of a shared team responsibility.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years of IT infrastructure, systems administration, engineering, or advanced support experience. Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Azure, and Intune. Experience supporting Windows Server environments and Active Directory. Experience installing and configuring servers, networking equipment, firewalls, switches, and wireless technologies. Experience with Hyper-V and VMware virtualization platforms. Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience is highly preferred. Experience supporting MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices. Security assessment experience, Microsoft Purview experience, or cybersecurity exposure is a strong plus. Experience with cloud migrations, customer onboarding, and infrastructure projects is preferred. A+ Certification required.
