Job Description
An Addison Group client seeking a detail-oriented STAFF ACCOUNTANT to join their team! This role is a strong fit for someone with a solid accounting foundation who stays organized, communicates clearly, and consistently meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support the monthly close process
- Complete regular account reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger accounts across two ERP systems
- Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and respond to bank inquiries
- Support the annual audit by gathering account information and documentation for external auditors
- Work with colleagues to confirm the accuracy of intercompany balances
- Stay current on accepted accounting practices and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Up to 3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger maintenance and the financial close process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, prioritization, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt, collaborate, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience ERP systems - SAP experience preferred
