Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger.
- Record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile company bank accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Ensure that all balances in the system align with bank records.
- Process payroll for employees.
- Ensure all employee benefits, deductions, and bonuses are accurately calculated and processed.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and ensure timely compliance with tax deadlines.
- Assist with month-end close processes including reviewing and posting journal entries.
- Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
- Provide support in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.
- Ensure proper coding and documentation for all journal entries.
- Monitor and adjust accruals, deferrals, and other necessary adjustments during close.
- Maintain financial records and files in an organized and accessible manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve issues.
- Assist with audits and tax filings when necessary.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role (2+ years preferred).
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
· Proficiency in ERP system.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
