Title: Voice Engineer

Office Location / Status: Houston, Texas (Onsite Monday – Thursday, Remote Fridays)

Duration: 6-month (contract to hire)



The essential job functions include but are not limited to.

· Voice Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy voice communication systems, including VoIP solutions, telephony gateways, and session border controllers.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design voice network architectures that meet business needs.

· Telephony System Management: Manage and maintain the organization's telephony infrastructure, including PBX systems, call routing configurations, voicemail systems, and auto attendants. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of telephony systems.

· Voice Quality and Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize voice quality and performance across the network. Identify and resolve issues related to call quality, voice latency, echo, and jitter to provide an exceptional user experience.

· Voice Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve voice-related issues, including call routing problems, connectivity issues, and telephony system outages. Collaborate with cross functional teams to perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective actions.

· Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement of voice equipment, software, and services. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).

· Voice Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain voice network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and external threats. Ensure compliance with industry’s standards and regulations related to voice communication.

· Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain accurate documentation of voice network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Generate reports on voice system performance, capacity utilization, and call statistics.

· Stay Updated with Emerging Technologies: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging voice technologies, and best practices. Evaluate and recommend new voice technologies and tools that enhance communication efficiency and reliability.
