Our client has an immediate need for a Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This candidate will support the Accounting department and must have the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally. Job Responsibilities:
· 1-3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
· Strong reconciliation experience (bank accounts, balance sheet, and credit card)
· Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, maintain and balance the general ledger, and preparing journal entries
· Financial statement preparation, account analysis, and assist with budget preparation (would be a plus!)
· Keeps chart of accounts and customer/vendor lists accurate and up to date
· Assists with month/quarter-end close, audits, and tax preparation
· Proficiency with Excel & ERP systems
Requirements:
· 1-3+ years of accounting experience
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, (related field will be considered with the right experience)
· Strong knowledge of GAAP
· Excel
· Sage Intacct (preferred)
