Position Title: Lease Administrator

Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid: In-office 5 days/week for first 90 days, then 3 days in-office/2 days remote)

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year + 5% annual bonus

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Lease Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and abstracting complex commercial leases, managing lease data in property management software, and performing financial calculations related to rent and operating expenses. You will work across multiple projects, providing critical support to internal teams and ensuring accuracy in lease administration processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Review and abstract financial and non-financial lease clauses from commercial leases into property management systems.
  • Manage lease compliance, including base rent, percentage rent, operating expenses, real estate taxes, and insurance obligations.
  • Assist internal teams with lease details and due diligence for property evaluations.
  • Address tenant account questions and resolve disputes.
  • Process and monitor leases from post-execution through expiration.
  • Generate and post monthly recurring rental charges.
  • Calculate and post annual tenant operating expense reconciliations.
  • Perform calculations for budgeting potential rent and operating expense recoveries.
  • Support multiple projects with time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Lease Administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong ability to understand, interpret, and abstract complex commercial lease terminology.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and lease management databases (MRI or Yardi preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple levels of management and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Personable, professional, and capable of building strong working relationships.
