About the Opportunity
Addison Group is hiring multiple Patient Accounts / Customer Service Representatives on behalf of our client for a contract-to-hire opportunity within a growing healthcare management organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, resolving billing inquiries, and supporting revenue cycle operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound and outbound patient calls related to billing, insurance, and account inquiries
- Explain charges, claim summaries, and account balances in a clear and professional manner
- Collect patient payments and assist with setting up payment arrangements or plans
- Research and resolve patient account issues, including billing discrepancies and claim concerns
- Work assigned tasks related to patient accounts, billing projects, and collections activities
- Route or escalate complex inquiries to the appropriate internal teams when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and account activity
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to review and update patient information
- Support ongoing billing initiatives and participate in training or departmental projects as needed
- Build positive relationships with patients through clear, empathetic communication
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a call center, customer service, or patient-facing support role
- Prior exposure to healthcare billing, patient accounts, or revenue cycle processes preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing concepts and EMR systems (eClinicalWorks or Epic experience a plus)
- Ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining quality and professionalism
- Strong communication skills with a clear, pleasant phone presence
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented with basic understanding of billing and insurance terminology
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take direction
