Our client is a healthcare organization specializing in clinical documentation integrity, coding accuracy, and revenue cycle optimization.
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced RN CDI Query Writers for a fully remote contract opportunity. This position focuses on reviewing clinical documentation and developing compliant physician queries to ensure accurate diagnosis capture, severity of illness, and risk of mortality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review inpatient clinical documentation and identify query opportunities.
- Develop accurate, compliant physician queries following AHIMA and ACDIS guidelines.
- Collaborate with physician reviewers and CDI specialists.
- Perform clinical validation and documentation clarification.
- Ensure accurate diagnosis capture and compliance with coding guidelines.
Qualifications:
- RN with 3+ years of inpatient CDI experience.
- Strong clinical nursing background, preferably ICU, Trauma, ER, or Med/Surg.
- CCDS or CDIP certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical indicators, ICD-10-CM, and compliant query practices.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Additional Details:
- Employment Type: Contract (3+ months, potential extension or permanent opportunity)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
- Training: Approximately 2 weeks, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST
- Post-Training: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST
- Work Arrangement: 100% Remote
- Equipment: Company-provided
- Start Date: ASAP, with scheduled onboarding dates
- Interview Process: Query writing assessment followed by a virtual interview.
