Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and personable Store Associate to support the daily operations of a campus merchandise store. This individual will assist customers, process purchases, maintain inventory, and ensure the store remains organized and inviting. The store has a calm atmosphere, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and staying productive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Operate the point-of-sale system to process credit card transactions
- Assist customers with merchandise selections, including apparel, medical scrubs, snacks, and campus-related items
- Receive, organize, and maintain merchandise throughout the store
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with basic inventory tracking and data entry
- Keep the retail space clean, organized, and presentable
- Answer basic questions and direct customers to the appropriate resources when needed
- Support general store needs and administrative tasks during slower periods
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of retail or customer-facing experience
- Previous experience using a POS or checkout system
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of daily responsibilities
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge; familiarity with Excel is a plus
- Reliable and punctual with a strong attendance record
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
