Job Description:
The Data Developer will help build, maintain, and improve data solutions that support business operations and decision-making. This role focuses on working with Databricks, APIs, and data integration processes to ensure information flows effectively across systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on data development experience, strong communication skills, and an interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to evolving data initiatives within a collaborative technology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data solutions using Databricks to support business needs and operational reporting.
- Build and support API integrations that connect applications, platforms, and data sources.
- Transform, organize, and manage data to improve accessibility, reliability, and usability.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline and integration issues, identifying opportunities to improve performance and reliability.
- Support data visualization and reporting initiatives, including Power BI where applicable.
- Explore AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support code development.
- Help bridge communication between technical teams and business users to ensure data solutions align with organizational goals.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal data applications and processes.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in data development, data engineering, or a related technical role.
- Experience working with Databricks.
- Experience developing, consuming, or maintaining APIs and data integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and completing assignments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a close-knit technical team.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Experience with SAP and Power BI is a plus.
- Oil and gas or energy industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Exposure to SCADA, WellView, Quorum, or Merrick applications is beneficial.
Additional Details:
- Six-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
- Onsite position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- No travel required.
- Standard weekday schedule with potential overtime opportunities.
