About The Company:
We are working with a respected nonprofit trade association in the Washington, DC area in search of a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization in a collaborative, hybrid work setting.
Job Description:
A nonprofit trade association in Washington, DC is looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to provide day-to-day support across HR functions. The ideal candidate brings prior HR experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can hit the ground running with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and external parties, delivering prompt and accurate responses
- Support talent acquisition efforts by identifying and engaging candidates across multiple sourcing channels
- Keep personnel files current and ensure all documentation meets applicable compliance standards
- Partner with people managers to facilitate performance review cycles and ongoing employee development conversations
Qualifications:
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in a human resources capacity
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Experience utilizing Workday and ADP Workforce now highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks with limited supervision
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Additional Details:
This is a contract role expected to last 4–6 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs. Candidates should be local to the DC area and available to work on a hybrid schedule.
