About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join a long-standing urology practice with a strong company culture and above-market compensation. This role supports the Revenue Cycle team and is open due to growth and replacement of a permanent employee.

You’ll be responsible for verifying patient insurance for upcoming appointments, contacting PCPs for referrals, and resolving insurance mismatches. Once proficient, you may be trained in claim creation alongside the billing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify insurance coverage for scheduled appointments
  • Contact patients and providers to resolve insurance discrepancies
  • Request and track referrals from PCPs
  • Enter and update insurance information in Athena and Urochart systems
  • Collaborate with billing team for potential claim creation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in insurance verification or medical billing in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with Athena and/or Urochart preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
