- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview:
The Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact for clients in a mental health practice. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, answering incoming calls, and coordinating new patient intake. The specialist will help match clients with the appropriate clinician based on their mental health needs and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role supporting a large team of clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Coordinate intake for new clients and gather required information
- Match clients with the appropriate clinician based on needs and availability
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits
- Schedule appointments using electronic health record and scheduling systems
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and internal team members
- Support administrative and front office functions as needed
Required Experience:
- 1–2 years of medical office or healthcare administrative experience
- Experience with insurance verification
- Experience using electronic health records (EHR) or medical scheduling systems
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting
- Experience in patient intake, scheduling, or front desk roles
