Job Description
Addison Group is seeking a Licensing Specialist on behalf of our client. This role is responsible for supporting the onboarding and administration of independent agents by managing contracts, licensing documentation, and related compliance requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work within regulatory guidelines, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review independent agent contract submissions through the organization’s electronic portal to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Enter, update, and maintain agent records within internal systems, including personal details, contract information, commission structures, and licensing status.
- Organize and maintain digital files containing agent-related documentation and records.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, agencies, and internal teams to obtain necessary documentation such as support or release letters.
- Assess candidate eligibility by reviewing background information, credit checks, and regulatory or licensing issues, and determine appropriate next steps when concerns arise.
- Ensure system data accurately reflects licensing status and commission setup for agents.
- Provide updates to leadership regarding trends, issues, or developments within assigned responsibilities.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and compliance standards in all aspects of the role.
- Assist with additional administrative or operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience within Life Insurance
- Accurate and efficient data entry abilities.
- Experience working with PDF editing tools and document management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
