Job Responsibilities:
- Track, analyze, and report on project costs, budgets, and forecasts
- Monitor project financial performance and identify variances
- Prepare and issue client invoices based on contract terms (time & materials, fixed fee, etc.)
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards
- Review and approve project-related expenses and time entries
- Reconcile project accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with project setup, including budget creation and system configuration
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to project accounting
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial alignment and profitability
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and contractual requirements
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards for leadership review
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project or cost accounting
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition and job costing
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Viewpoint Vista, SAP, Oracle)
