Work Model: Hybrid (4 days onsite)

About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a fast-growing, celebrity-owned CPG company seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and has a strong command of GAAP accounting fundamentals.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, owning critical areas of the general ledger, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to process improvements as the organization continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Month-End Close
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Analyze account activity and investigate variances
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Fixed Assets & Technical Accounting
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Assist with technical accounting research and application of GAAP principles
- Support implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Assist with preparation of internal financial reporting and supporting schedules
- Perform account flux analysis and provide insights into financial results
- Support external audit requests and documentation preparation
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses and reporting needs
Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize NetSuite for day-to-day accounting operations and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Assist with system enhancements, reporting automation, and special projects
- Help support scalable accounting operations in a high-growth environment
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the VP of Finance, operations, and cross-functional teams
- Support business initiatives and operational accounting needs
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the accounting function
- Assist with special projects and strategic finance initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits/credits, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Experience using NetSuite ERP
- Background in consumer packaged goods (CPG), including inventory accounting experience
- Industry experience within fashion, personal care, cosmetics, fragrance, or related consumer products
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Public accounting experience (audit or advisory preferred)
- Experience with technical accounting research and GAAP application
- Experience supporting high-growth or scaling organizations
