Position Overview:
Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support a busy accounting department in Plymouth, MN. This position will focus primarily on accounts payable processing, invoice management, and general accounting support. The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Perform two-way and three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
- Support the accounting team with data entry, reconciliations, and other administrative tasks.
- Assist with additional accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous accounts payable or accounting support experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an accounting team.
