Position Overview
A global organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Operations Manager to lead day-to-day AR operations, collections oversight, customer inquiry management, and reporting activities.
This role will oversee critical functions across the accounts receivable lifecycle, ensuring timely invoice delivery, effective collections, strong customer support, and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings a combination of AR leadership, customer-facing operations, process improvement, and team management experience.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily accounts receivable operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution.
- Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs), operational metrics, and performance standards.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, internal controls, and operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and financial controls.
- Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives to support organizational growth.
Customer Portal & Invoice Administration
- Manage customer billing portals and electronic invoicing platforms.
- Oversee invoice submissions, portal maintenance, compliance requirements, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate customer onboarding and billing setup requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and IT to resolve invoice delivery and portal-related issues.
- Develop reporting to monitor portal performance, submission accuracy, and compliance.
Customer Inquiry & Account Management
- Lead AR customer support workflows, including shared inboxes and inquiry management.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer questions related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Oversee customer account reconciliations, statements, and supporting documentation.
- Establish customer service KPIs and monitor response times and resolution performance.
- Promote a high standard of customer service and communication across the AR function.
Collections & Escalation Management
- Provide leadership and direction for global collections activities.
- Develop and support strategic collection initiatives to improve cash flow and reduce past-due balances.
- Monitor aged receivables, customer disputes, and collection risks.
- Lead escalations involving high-value or significantly past-due accounts.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Communicate significant collection risks and potential impacts to leadership.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly AR reporting packages.
- Develop executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and operational performance reports.
- Analyze trends related to days sales outstanding (DSO), collections, disputes, and aging.
- Support cash forecasting and working capital initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance through data analysis and reporting automation.
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop AR team members.
- Support performance management, workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Establish team goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Foster a customer-focused, collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
- Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Order-to-Cash, or Credit & Collections.
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience supporting operations within a global business environment.
- Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and drive operational results.
Preferred
- Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, technology, or industrial environments.
- Oracle ERP experience.
- Shared services or global AR operations leadership experience.
- Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, or process transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with customer e-invoicing portals and automated billing platforms.
