Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances
- Contact customers via phone and email to resolve past-due invoices and secure payments
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records of collection activities
- Collaborate with internal teams (billing, sales, customer service) to resolve account issues
- Prepare and distribute aging reports and provide updates on collection status
- Negotiate payment plans when necessary while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Apply cash receipts and assist with account adjustments, credits, and write-offs
- Support month-end closing by providing reports and account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and collection procedures
Requirements:
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- 2 – 4 years of collections, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
