About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a behavioral healthcare organization seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to support busy outpatient clinics. This is a patient-facing role supporting individuals receiving mental health and addiction services.
Job Description:
The Medical Front Desk Receptionist will support daily clinic operations through patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance eligibility checks, and extensive documentation. This is a high-volume environment requiring strong multitasking skills and the ability to professionally interact with a wide variety of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check patients in and out and assist with walk-in appointments.
- Schedule, monitor, and reschedule appointments across multiple service areas.
- Create new patient charts and update demographic information.
- Verify Medicaid and commercial insurance eligibility.
- Scan and upload documentation into the EMR.
- Track patient progress and maintain detailed, accurate documentation.
- Manage electronic task requests and internal communications.
- Communicate with clinical and administrative teams regarding patient needs.
- Collect and maintain insurance cards and other required patient documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent medical front office experience required.
- Healthcare, behavioral health, mental health, or public health experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and patient-facing experience.
- Comfortable interacting with patients who may be upset or experiencing challenging circumstances.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with extensive data entry and documentation.
- Reliable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
Additional Details:
- Location: Location: Tulsa, OK
- Opportunities may be based at various clinic locations throughout the Tulsa area (74114, 74120, 74135).
- Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Available schedules fall between 7:30 AM–8:30 PM and will be set based on clinic needs.
- 100% onsite in a clinical environment.
- Extensive hands-on training with mentor/trainer support.
- Business casual/professional attire.
