Location: Katy, TX
Compensation: $26.00 – $27.00 / hour

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Katy, TX. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, managing payment activities, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring accurate and timely accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate has strong AP experience, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience with SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Processing
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently within SAP
- Verify invoice approvals and supporting documentation prior to processing
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation when applicable
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
Vendor Management
- Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status, payment timing, and account discrepancies
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and issue resolution
Payment Processing
- Prepare and process ACH payments, wire transfers, and check runs
- Ensure payments are completed according to company policies and vendor payment terms
- Maintain organized records of payment activity and supporting documentation
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Perform accounts payable reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities
- Support audit requests and provide required AP documentation
- Prepare AP-related reports and account analyses as needed
Administrative & Accounting Support
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical financial records
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Assist with process improvements to increase AP efficiency and accuracy
- Support the accounting team with additional projects and reporting requests
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience required
- SAP experience required
- Experience processing high-volume invoices preferred
- Strong Excel skills including data entry, formulas, and reconciliations
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
