Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to support biweekly payroll processing and day-to-day employee benefits administration. This individual will help ensure accurate payroll, maintain employee records, assist with reporting and reconciliations, and serve as a resource for employee questions related to payroll and benefits.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, multi-state payroll requirements, and benefits administration. This role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review timecards, spreadsheets, and payroll documentation to verify hours worked, overtime, paid time off, call hours, and stipends.
- Process assigned biweekly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- Maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and other updates.
- Retrieve and reconcile scheduling and payroll data from QGenda as needed.
- Support employee benefits administration, including enrollment, eligibility, coverage changes, and employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records and assist with resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare reports related to headcount, compensation, new hires, terminations, employee census data, and other payroll and benefits metrics.
- Coordinate payroll tax and unemployment insurance registrations for new states.
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with payroll and benefits process improvements and other HR-related administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Experience managing multi-state payroll tax requirements and unemployment insurance.
- Knowledge of benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee eligibility, and benefits changes.
- Familiarity with FMLA and related employee leave administration.
- Experience with payroll reconciliation and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Familiarity with QGenda or similar scheduling systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet strict payroll deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
