Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and track employee leave programs including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), personal leaves, parental leave, and other company leave programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave eligibility, documentation requirements, leave timelines, and return-to-work processes.
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, medical providers, payroll, managers, and HR leadership to ensure timely and accurate leave administration.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, communicate with carriers, monitor claim status, and assist with return-to-work coordination and transitional duty processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state leave regulations including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, and applicable company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation within HRIS, leave management systems, and benefits platforms.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, benefit continuation during leave, and benefit-related questions.
- Administer and support employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.
- Support annual open enrollment activities including employee communications, vendor coordination, system updates, and enrollment troubleshooting.
- Assist with benefits reconciliations, invoicing, payroll deductions, and auditing of benefit and leave data.
- Prepare reports related to leave activity, benefits administration, and compliance audits.
- Partner with HR and management to support employee wellness, accommodations, and employee relations initiatives.
- Support additional HR projects and employee programs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits.
- Experience administering leave programs and workers’ compensation claims required.
- Knowledge of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
- Strong understanding of HR compliance regulations related to benefits and leave administration.
- Experience working in energy, manufacturing, industrial, or oil & gas environments strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
