Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Austin, TX - must be local and able to be onsite 3 days per week (Mon, Tues & Thurs)

Duration: 6 month contract

Compensation: $60-80/HR W2

Work schedule: Monday-Friday (8 AM-5PM CST) - onsite 3x per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional IT projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, requirements, business process designs, user stories, test cases, and project artifacts.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including SOWs, invoicing, and resource coordination.
  • Provide regular project status updates to IT leadership and the PMO.
  • Facilitate collaboration across business, technology, and third-party teams while resolving competing priorities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Support software testing, deployment planning, defect management, and enhancements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management standards and collaboration frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT projects across the full lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, systems, and processes.
  • PMP, CSM, CSPO, PBA, or CBAP certification preferred.
