About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare revenue cycle organization seeking a Medical Payment Poster to support a federal operations team. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working with numbers, processing high volumes of payments, and contributing to large-scale healthcare reimbursement initiatives.
Job Description:
The Payment Poster will be responsible for accurately posting manual and electronic payments, reviewing EOBs, and supporting reconciliation efforts across multiple healthcare accounts. This position is part of a specialized operations team responsible for handling high-volume payment activity and maintaining accurate financial records within a healthcare revenue cycle environment.
This role is fully onsite due to the nature of the payment posting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post manual and electronic payments accurately within revenue cycle systems.
- Review and interpret EOBs and remittance advice to ensure correct payment application.
- Process lockbox payments and review high-volume deposit batches.
- Reconcile payments and investigate discrepancies or posting errors.
- Work within payer portals and internal systems to verify payment details.
- Assist in clearing backlogs related to payment posting and reconciliation.
- Document posting activity and maintain organized financial records.
- Collaborate with billing and collections teams to resolve payment-related issues.
- Adapt to new workflows and systems as processes evolve.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of medical payment posting experience required.
- Experience with both manual and electronic payment posting.
- Strong knowledge of EOB interpretation and payment reconciliation.
- Experience in clinic or physician group billing environments preferred.
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong data entry accuracy.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
