About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a long-established manufacturing and distribution company seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper matching with purchase orders and receipts.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing variances by collaborating with internal departments.
- Enter invoices and receipts into the accounting system (Sage 100 or similar ERP).
- Prepare weekly and manual check runs, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate disbursement records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and maintain up-to-date AP records.
- Support month-end close by verifying all invoices are processed, including non-inventory and freight charges.
- Assist with maintaining purchase order and inventory records.
- Provide backup support for data entry, phone coverage, and other accounting functions as needed.
- Assist with year-end reporting and documentation preparation.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (experience with Sage 100 a plus) and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
