Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume AP function in a fast-paced environment. This role requires deep experience in purchase order (PO) matching, variance analysis, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts in a high-volume environment
- Investigate, review, and reconcile PO variances, resolving discrepancies efficiently
- Process a large volume of invoices with accuracy and timeliness
- Support month-end close by reconciling the AP subledger to the general ledger
- Utilize ERP and third-party systems to code, match, and route invoices for approval
- Analyze data using Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper approvals and accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience, including PO-based invoicing
- Strong experience with variance analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with ERP systems
- Ability to manage high invoice volume and work independently in a fast-paced setting
