Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Assistant to support a dynamic CEO in a fast-paced, evolving consulting environment. This is a highly visible role that requires strong anticipation skills, discretion, and the ability to operate independently. The Executive Assistant will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, helping streamline operations, manage priorities, and improve day-to-day efficiency.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a less structured environment, enjoys building processes, and can confidently manage shifting priorities while keeping the CEO organized and focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex and ever-changing executive calendar, prioritizing meetings and commitments
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and logistics
  • Manage inbox organization, draft correspondence, and handle communication on behalf of the CEO
  • Prepare, edit, and format executive-level presentations, reports, and client-facing materials
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and gatekeeper for internal and external stakeholders
  • Anticipate executive needs by observing workflows and proactively addressing gaps or inefficiencies
  • Support special projects, internal initiatives, and ad hoc operational tasks
  • Help streamline administrative processes and improve organizational structure as the role evolves
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in all communications and interactions

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably at the C-suite level
  • Strong preference for candidates with HR or people-focused executive support experience
  • Background in high-level administrative support, complex calendaring, and executive coordination
  • Experience preparing PowerPoint decks and executive presentations required
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Experience in consulting, professional services, or similarly fast-paced environments preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tools is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly proactive, organized, and able to work with minimal direction

Additional Details:

  • Pay Rate: $30 – $35/hour
  • Conversion Salary: Up to $85,000 annually
  • Start Date: Within 24 hours of offer
  • Interview Process: One interview with CEO/Founder
  • Company Size: ~40 employees
  • Schedule: Fully onsite in Rockville, MD
  • Parking: $5/day (not covered by client); metro accessible (Twinbrook – Red Line)
